Last year we told you about Maple Street Voices’ Mim Shaikh appearing in the BBC One sitcom, King Gary, and if you’ve missed it, all episodes are now available on the iPlayer.
Mim is joined in the cast by Simon Day, Laura Checkley and Romesh Ranganathan, and the whole thing is led by Tom Davis, who you’ll recognise as the fearsome T-Bone from Paddington 2. Maple Street’s hat goes off to Casting Director, Catherine Willis for pulling together such an array of talent; a victory in keeping with her previous work on such great shows as Urban Myths and The Detectorists. Mim might not be in every episode but he features more than his culinary skills allowed in last year’s Celebrity Masterchef. Barley, mushroom and herb risotto anyone?
Tonight at 9:30pm tune into @BBCOne to watch #KingGary - had so much fun being part of this comedy series. Hopefully you’ll have a few laughs. Big up @BigTomD https://t.co/KPRxU25jmZ 👷🏽♂️ pic.twitter.com/qNbyHxHR6G
